Egg Decorating Ideas!

Hello sweeties, how's the month been treating you?  My hubby was sick a couple of weeks ago so I played nurse and almost got sick in the process (germs suck!). Nonetheless, this month has flown by and I am gathering some Easter decorating ideas.  Today, I looked for egg decorating and came across some great ones via the Family Fun website.  Please check out the link; they have some awesome crafts, ideas and recipes.  Here are a few that stood out:

Really cool technique

I love this! Think I'll use this for my project :)

How cute are these! And so easy to make

I couldn't help but share this one :)

Inspiration Board: Mr. & Mrs.

I've been busy working on a few things therefore my blog has taken a backseat :(

I have a bridal show that I'm doing next weekend to get my business "out there".  I decided to do a dessert table with the theme Mr. & Mrs. using the colors of deep teal, yellow and gray with a possible trellis design.  Here's what I came up with; what do you think?

I intially was going to use the frame in the pic (from IKEA) but I found out that there won't be pipe & drape and the tables won't be near walls.  Still trying to see what I'm going to do to add that extra layer but I'm thinking a banner. I'll be back with more updates!

V-Day Projects!

I'm currently working on a couple of projects that I look forward to sharing in the upcoming weeks.  I've been looking for Valentine inspiration and saw some great stuff on Martha Stewart's site.

Here are a few of my faves:

Great for kids & adults alike

Love this one! I think I'll be using this concept for my party

Easy enough & endless possibilities

So cool for a kids party or valentine exchange

What will you be crafting this Valentine's holiday?

Modern Christmas Tree Idea

One of my fave bloggers, Chris from  Celebrations at Home, posted a great DIY Christmas Tree idea using IKEA vases.  These vases are cheap (79 cents!) and are a great way to decorate without breaking the bank.

DIY Tinsel Wreath & More

So my tinsel wreath is done and I couldn't be happier with it!  It took all of 20 minutes and it has inspired me to want to make more.  Take a look:

I got this great idea via Creature Comforts!

In other news, I have found some other goodies for my Christmas Glam table:

I was at Marshalls looking for something and came across these. They were both only $2.99!  Hello, I was not passing that up! So happy to have scored the cookies...they will make a great addition to the table.  PSA: don't sleep on TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Home Goods, etc... You get some of the best decor, food goodies, vessels, let's just say I light up everytime I'm there :)

Have a good weekend and  I hope you have your Turkey day shopping done because I know it's gonna be brutal out there!

Christmas Glam

I am working on a holiday dessert table for a fundraiser hosted by the Women of Homeland Security.  All proceeds go the No Greater Sacrifice Foundation which helps educate children of permanently wounded or fallen members of the armed forces.  They wanted to go with the classic red & white color scheme which I love.  I was trying to decide if I wanted to go kinda retro with it but instead I'm going to go more glam.

I saw a blog post about making a tinsel garland wreath and found what I needed at the Dollar Tree!  I really want a red feather wreath but I haven't had any luck.  (If anyone knows of where to get one let me know!)   Also came across these peppermint sticks which I'm going to crush up and use on some of the desserts.

I'll keep you updated on the progress and I'll post the DIY for the wreath on Friday.
